Today marks almost exactly three years since Thibaut Courtois’ official transfer from Chelsea to Real Madrid. The Belgian made the move from London to the Spanish capital in early August of 2018 and has gone on to cement his place as a core player in the team. Despite early struggles with consistency and acclimatizing to the team, Courtois eventually settled into his role and played an instrumental part in Real Madrid’s 2019-20 La Liga defensive masterclass; claiming the Zamora trophy in the process.
Can't believe it has been 3 years already. Proud to be part of this family! #HalaMadrid https://t.co/cCIzbixrNN

Despite Real Madrid experiencing challenges with injuries and maintaining momentum in 2020-21, Courtois was one of the bright spots and continued to deliver stellar performances throughout the season. The keeper has now played 129 matches for the team with a personal record of 78 wins, 25 draws and 26 losses. He has conceded 124 goals in that stretch averaging less than one goal per game.
