Real Madrid’s newest midfielder Eduardo Camavinga talked to the club’s TV channel and shared his feelings after spending his first few days in the Spanish capital. Camavinga praised his teammates and revealed that one of them told him he would wait for him.

”Real Madrid is the biggest club in the world and has won the most titles ever. It’s a club that makes people dream and has won more trophies than any other in history. Just look at the number of European Cups they’ve won. We all dream of Real Madrid from when we’re kids,” said Camavinga.

The young player revealed that one of his new teammates had talk to him in the past trying to convince him of joining Real Madrid.

“I spoke to Mendy a while back and he told me he was waiting for me there. I’ll bring all my character, fight on the pitch, technique and joyful approach to life. That’s what I’ll give Real Madrid,” he explained.

Camavinga will likely be behind Casemiro, Modric and Kroos in the rotation. Those are three world-class midfielders and Camavinga will have to stay patient and learn from them in every training session.

“They have won so many titles. Learning from them every day is a pleasure and I hope to follow in their footsteps,” said the Frenchman.

While Camavinga will surely learn Spanish with time, the midfielder also explained that coach Carlo Ancelotti is fluent in French, which has helped him so far.

“He speaks great French, so that makes things easier. We’ve spoken, it was really nice to touch base,” he concluded.
