Carlo Ancelotti has spoken to the media ahead of the Celta Vigo game, addressing journalists for the first time in two weeks.

He spoke about new signing Eduardo Camavinga and stated that the Frenchman could start against Celta Vigo on Sunday. The coach revealed: "Camavinga is good and really excited and motivated to be here. He has trained well with the squad. Of course he’s available for tomorrow. It’s true that we have great competition in midfield, with Casemiro, Kroos, Modric, Isco, Valverde, Ceballos... I can’t play them all and it’s important that they understand the decision.”

Asked about the status of the South American players who were away, he said: "Some of them have trained little, but I don’t think they’ll have a problem. It seems that they’ll be able to play, but I’ll speak with them individually again tomorrow [Sunday].”

Expanding on the problems of the international break, the Italian said: “There is a problem with the calendar that we must solve together. I think it’s good that LaLiga is trying to look after the health of the players with their decisions.”

Finally, Ancelotti was asked about Florentino Pérez, after the Real Madrid president had been heavily critised by senior members of UEFA. He said: "I thought it was a little strange, for an organisation like UEFA to speak that way about the president of a club that has won 13 European Cups. If a president of a club that won 13 European Cups is incompetent, then what are the others?”
