Real Madrid visit Inter Milan in what will be the team’s Champions League’s season debut. These two teams met twice in last season’s Group Stage as well, but Inter have transformed their squad after the departures of crucial players like Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi to Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain respectively.
For Real Madrid, this will be a very important game in terms of roster management.
Real Madrid predicted XI: Courtois, Carvajal, Militao, Nacho, Alaba, Casemiro, Modric, Valverde, Vinicius, Hazard, Benzema.
Inter Milan predicted XI: Handanovic, Skriniar, De Vrij, Dimarco, Darmian, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Perisic, Lautaro, Dzeko.
Ancelotti could very well decide to deploy Alaba as the starting left-back now that neither Marcelo nor Mendy are available. Miguel Gutierrez has shown some vulnerability on defense and while he’s been solid offensively, coach Ancelotti might be cautious and start Alaba there tonight. Other than that, Vinicius and Hazard will be expected to start alongside Benzema upfront.
