Real Madrid began the week’s preparation ahead of their match against Mallorca set to take place on Wednesday.
The main group of players participated in fitness exercises, running sessions and practiced several passing exercises. They also worked on possession and press work and closed out Monday’s session with a small simulation match.
There were also some updates on the injury side of the club’s training session this morning. Toni Kroos trained both outside on the pitch as well as participated in work indoors. Dani Carvajal, Marcelo, Gareth Bale, Dani Ceballos, Fede Valverde and Ferland Mendy all reportedly spent the morning session training solely inside the facility.
Real Madrid currently lead the La Liga table holding 13 points on the season after defeating Valencia 2-1 at the Mestalla on Sunday. The club will make a midweek return home to take on ninth-placed Mallorca on Wednesday.
It is still uncertain as of now how many of the recovering players present at Monday’s training session will be available to the squad by Wednesday. Kroos would likely be the furthest along as he was the only one present who participated in outdoor pitch training.
