Real Madrid completed a portion of Thursday’s training session with the rest of the squad as he keeps progressing in his recovery from the pubalgia he picked up a month ago, an injury that has kept him out of the squad for the whole start of the 2021-2022 season.
Kroos could be back with the team fairly soon, but Real Madrid’s coaching and medical staffs will likely take a cautious approach given that this injury is a very tricky one which could potentially affect the rest of Kroos’ career if it doesn’t heal properly.
When he is back, Kroos will be expected to return to the starting lineup alongside Casemiro and Modric. Valverde and Camavinga’s minutes would decrease, so Ancelotti will eventually have to find a way to keep the two of them involved by rotating the squad fairly often, given that they have earned the opportunity to get consistent minutes throughout the year.
