Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga talked in an interview with French website Telefoot, where he shared his thoughts and feelings after becoming a madridista, also explaining how he felt during the first few days.
“The quality everyone has and the training sessions are the two things which surprised me the most so far. When I got here the first day, I was tired after the first training session, but I got used to it. Maybe the language is what’s being tougher for me right now because I like to make jokes and have a laugh with everybody and my Spanish isn’t all that great yet,” said Camavinga.
The midfielder also explained that he didn’t know how to react when he scored his first goal for Madrid on his debut.
“I just want to help the team, I wasn’t directly involved in the goal, if you pay attention I was just running around through the right side and I took advantage of a rebound to score. Furthermore, at first I just didn’t celebrate because I never thought I’d score on my debut. I looked at the referee and then went crazy,” he said.
Camavinga wrapped up his brief interview by praising Benzema.
“He’s a true leader. We talk a lot and I didn’t know that he’s a very fun person. He leads the whole group,” concluded the midfielder.
