Real Madrid attacker Brahim Diaz talked in an interview with Diario AS right after scoring the game-winning goal for Milan this past weekend. Brahim, who is currently spending his second season on loan with the Italian side, is completing excellent performances.
“This year I’m reaching scoring positions a little bit more, I am looking forward to helping the team by being close to the box. I’m scoring goals but more importantly we’re getting good results,” said Brahim, who has scored four goals and delivered one assist in seven games.
The Spanish player was asked about Carlo Ancelotti’s words. The Italian coach said he is a “very important player” for Real Madrid’s future.
“Carletto is a great coach and a special person, I could see that when I met him this summer. I am very thankful to him for his words, but right now I’m only thinking about Milan,” said Brahim.
He also explained why he decided to rejoin Milan for another season.
“They’re a great team, I felt the love and support of the club and the fans. I had a great time here last season and I’m very happy here now,” he added.
Naturally, Brahim was asked about his future in Real Madrid. He will stay in Milan for the 2022-2023 season as well, but Brahim could be back in two years time as a player who is ready to make an impact and contribute.
“In all honesty, I am not thinking about that. I’m enjoying the present and I am very happy, I want to keep helping Milan by scoring goals, delivering assists and working very hard,” he concluded.
Milan will host Atletico de Madrid this Tuesday in what will be the return of Champions League football for the rossoneri. It will be interesting to see how Brahim performs in such a big stage.
