Real Madrid host Sheriff Tiraspol in the second game of the 2021-2022 UEFA Champions League Group Stage. Los Blancos earned a late win on their visit to Inter Milan two weeks ago, taking care of business in what could be the most difficult game for Ancelotti’s men in this Group Stage.

Now, Ancelotti has a good opportunity to rest some crucial and veteran players. Although every team participating in the Champions League is solid, Sheriff represents the best chance for Ancelotti to use his bench and make some rotations. Games like these allow the reserves to stay engaged and in form.

Los Blancos need to bounce back from their discouraging draw against Villarreal last Saturday and Sheriff is a good opponent to gain some confidence and earn another convincing win ahead of what’s going to be an intense month of October for Madrid, with games against Athletic Bilbao, Shakhtar and Barcelona.
