Real Madrid Femenino’s injury list just got worse. Things didn’t look great after Kosovare Asllani was subbed off at halftime vs. Granadilla with her knee wrapped in ice.

And now Asllani has confirmed through Twitter and Instagram that she did indeed suffer serious ligament injuries and will be out until November.

On Insta, she added a note at the end that wasn’t present in her tweet, stating that she believed that players need more protection on the pitch against rough challenges.
Asllani joins absentees Malena Ortíz Cruz, Teresa Abelleira, Aurélie Kaci, and Marta Cardona.
Every time it looks like someone comes back into the squad, another leaves with a problem. It’s been a particularly tough start to the season for Asllani, as she missed a lot of time due to COVID and had only just reestablished herself before suffering this injury.
In the meantime, this puts even more pressure on Esther González and Nahikari García to get going and find their best form.
