Real Madrid kick off their league campaign vs. Levante with much the same squad they had vs. Manchester City. The only differences are that youth team members Pichi and Ariana Arias have not been called up.
With a thinned out bench, Aznar will have to decide how much he wants to rotate, keeping in mind that his side will visit Manchester on September 8 to contest the 2nd leg of the UWCL qualifiers.
Levante are a strong team, having finished only 4 points behind Las Blancas to place third in the league table in 20/21. However, they lost three key players to Madrid (Esther, Rocío, and Zornoza) in addition to Estefanía Banini, who transferred to Atlético. Levante also changed coaches from María Pry to Ángel Villacampa, so it will be interesting to see their preferred tactics and their new-look eleven on Sunday.
