Dortmund could terminate Reinier Jesus’ loan deal -report

Borussia Dortmund could terminate their loan deal with Real Madrid for Reinier Jesus if the Brazilian attacker doesn’t improve and earn more relevant minutes during this first half of the 2021-2022 season, according to a report from German newspaper BILD.

Reinier had a very hard time finding minutes for Dortmund during last season, so his first year in the Bundesliga should be considered a failure. Reinier is 19 years old and needs minutes to keep improving and developing as a player, so Real Madrid can’t afford to have him sitting on the bench for Dortmund another season.

If he can’t find relevant minutes for the German side before the winter transfer window, all parts involved will almost certainly try to find a way out of the deal. In that context, Real Madrid and Reinier would have to find another club so that Reinier can play during the second half of the campaign.
