Real Madrid midfielder Antonio Blanco is set to feature in the starting lineup when Los Blancos take on Celta Vigo next Sunday, according to a report published on AS this Wednesday.

Both Casemiro and Valverde will likely sit on the bench, given that they will play for their countries on Thursday night, while Kroos is injured. Furthermore, Luka Modric is coming off a tricky groin injury, so Ancelotti will have a thin midfield line for Sunday’s match.

Real Madrid will visit Inter Milan the following Wednesday and Ancelotti could decide to play it safe and rest all three of Casemiro, Valverde and Modric in LaLiga so that they’re completely ready to start and perform in Milan. If that’s the case, Blanco, Isco and new signing Eduardo Camavinga could feature in the starting lineup.

Still, it will all depend on Ancelotti’s decision. The Italian coach could still start both Casemiro and Valverde if the two midfielders are ready to play, although deploying both of them in the starting lineup just 48 hours after playing for their countries and also following such a long flight from South America seems risky.
