Cadiz FC v Real Madrid - La Liga EA Sports

Seven players excluded from squad to face Cadiz

Carlo Ancelotti will be working on restructuring his lineup for upcoming games for the umpteenth time this season. The team has changed frequently because of injuries and tactical adjustments. Carlo still does not know what his best team is because he has not been able to give enough games to a preferred lineup. This means when January rolls around, he’ll still be figuring out his best approach to the big games.

The Man Manager

The only refrain more common than hearing about Carlo Ancelotti’s other-wordly man management is that the earth is round. Xabi is the latest player to repeat the notion that that Carlo is a great man manager.

Joselu to resolve the CF crisis

There’s no doubt Joselu provides a unique option which did not exist last season. He also doesn’t have the required profile to lead the line as a striker because he does not work as well outside the box. Signing him for another season or two guarantees depth and the unique option of a penalty box striker the team can use against the smaller teams with stubborn defences.

Carlo Ancelotti is one of the most successful managers of all time. This is undeniable. He is a unique manager whose managerial career is more artistic than mechanical. He is routinely praised for his man management and yet he’s an underrated tactician due to the non-specific style of play. Zinedine Zidane was accused of not being tactically astute particularly during his first stint and yet, he’s been incredibly successful but Zidane returned and used his defence to win a La Liga title when the squad had reach the end of a cycle. Managers like Zidane and Ancelotti can win silverware without providing a blueprint for other managers.
