Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has escaped a serious injury after being forced to leave Sunday’s match against Cadiz and while he won’t be available when Real Madrid host Napoli this Wednesday, he could be ready to face Granada next weekend, club sources told Managing Madrid.

As things stand right now, Toni Kroos, Fede Valverde and Dani Ceballos will be the first team’s only available midfielders against Napoli, so Modric avoiding a big injury is great news for Real Madrid while Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga are out recovering from their own physical problems.

Modric will likely be reinserted back in the lineup as soon as he is available, with Ceballos being the first midfielder off the bench. Luckily enough, the upcoming schedule is somewhat manageable for Real Madrid, so Los Blancos should be able to survive without crucial starters Vinicius, Camavinga and Tchouameni ahead of the Christmas break.
