Reinforcements are coming Real Madrid’s way. Midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni rejoined the squad in training today having recovered from the foot injury he suffered in the last El Clasico against FC Barcelona.
Tchouameni will likely be available when Real Madrid host Villarreal next Sunday although he should not be expected to feature in the starting lineup as he still needs to improve his conditioning after spending close to two months on the sidelines.
His return to the team will be crucial going forward, as coach Carlo Ancelotti has been forced to rely on both Toni Kroos and Fede Valverde to get cover Tchouameni’s presence as a defensive midfielder. With the Frenchman back, Ancelotti could bring back the diamond formation which would give more opportunities for Valverde and even Bellingham to get to scoring positions as Tchouameni would take care of the defensive side of things in the midfield line.
