Brahim Diaz, recipient of the official Man of the Match award in Real Madrid’s 2 - 0 win over Granada, was over the moon after the game with his current situation at Real Madrid.

Brahim, who has earned a bigger and bigger role, impressing in all the minutes Carlo Ancelotti has given him, scored yet another goal today while being involved in the second. His dribbling and off ball movement has been electric — difficult for Granada and other opponents to deal with.

“I’m very happy to play for this club,” Brahim said after the game. “It’s true that the ball that Kroos gives me is incredible and everything is easier next to these players. This is my game, I want to continue here, continue contributing. I see those passes from Toni in training. Today he made me a brutal one and that’s why I cleaned his boots.”

Brahim has been a regular starter in absence of Vinicius Jr (and Jude Bellingham before that), and has grown more and more comfortable in Carlo Ancelotti’s system.

“When you start you have more opportunities,” the Spaniard said. “The coach has always trusted me but it’s true that now I’m playing more. I came here because I feel like a Madrid player and I think I can give much more. Madrid is where I want to be. The fans have a special affection for me.”

In his 87 minutes of play, Brahim had 80 touches and three completed dribbles — the most of anyone on the field. He continues to be an important piece in the squad this season.
