Sergio Ramos harshly criticizes Clasico's referee

20

Real madrid's second captain Sergio Ramos has used Twitter to wish Jose Mourinho a happy birthday and criticize Teixeira Vitienes' refereeing. Tweets translated: "Good afternoon to everybody. I'd like to wish Jose Mourinho a happy 49th birthday! Happy birthday! I'm glad to have you!" "I'm glad that the club recurs my second yellow card because even though some players don't stop rolling on the floor, I don't even touch him" "About the referee, no comment. The images are there to be seen and the professionals can analyze them. Good night, HALA MADRID!"

Madrid press, but waste too many chances| Zonal Marking

Great tactical break down from Zonal Marking, one of my favorite sites for football tactics. I think today's performance is the best you'll see from an away side at the Nou Camp.

EXCLUSIVE: Madrid to move again for under-fire Wenger with Mourinho's days numbered

I'll talk about this more, after the dust settles from today's Clasico. And the source is the Daily Fail -- so take it with a grain of salt. If Mou were to leave at the end of the season, Wenger could replace him. Not really sure how I feel about this. Like I said, after the clasico dust settles I'll explore this some more.

"I think it is too late for Pepe now," Michel told Radio Marca. "This is a complicated situation, it will bring prejudice. "He says he is sorry. A player can make a mistake and he does not know why it happened. I have seen Pepe regret what he did to Casquero and three years have passed since then. "It is surely too late for him to change."

Pepe Apologizes in an Official Statement Released by the Club

Now this is classy. This is what makes the difference between Messi shooting the ball to the stands without apologizing and what Pepe did yesterday: Official Statement is in spanish, translation here: "Regarding the play with Leo Messi, I want to say that is has been an unintentional act. But anyway, if Messi feels disrespected by it I apologize because what I pretend is to defend my team and my institution. I give all I have, body and soul, and hurting a partner would never come to my mind".

I thought I'd post this because well this kid is outstanding and I don't know how much longer we'll be able to enjoy him in Seattle. Managing Madrid, This is Fredy Montero. Fredy, this is Managing Madrid. He's a damn clinical finisher. I do say though, wouldn't he look good in white?

"In the first half we achieved what we wanted to but we found it hard to defend on dead-ball situations. It's a shame because if we had marked up on the play [that led to Puyol's goal], we would have achieved more," Casillas told AS after the game.

MARCA: "Mourinho prostitutes Real Madrid's history"

17

Well, well, well. That bastion of journalism, Spanish tabloid MARCA, is unhappy with José Mourinho (what else is new?). They're really pissed, in fact. Francisco Villalobos is so pissed off that he's convinced that Mourinho is "prostituting Real Madrid's history," and, at other times, calls the manager "ignorant," "Judas," and says he has "ruined Real Madrid's moral and prestige." He also takes a couple of (racially tinged) shots at Pepe, saying he "dirties the white shirt of Madrid...he's 'piara tapa negra,' a cancer on [Real Madrid]." Very harsh stuff here. What do you think?
