VIDEO: All of Martin Odegaard's touches vs Cultural Leonesa

#Blondie raises some eyebrows in today's CDR victory

Martin Odegaard was a huge bright spot in today's Copa Del Rey 2nd-leg fixture against Cultural Leonesa, and his play was at a high enough level to raise a few eyebrows - particularly those who haven't been able to tune into Castilla on a regular basis this season. His play also earned him man of the match honours by our Castilla guru Sam - though I personally would've awarded it to Mariano - and this video compilation is a nice fresh mix of his elegant touches throughout the demolition at the Bernabeu.

The kid is talented, unsurprisingly, but we should take into context what today's game actually was. For one, it was one of the most embarrassing defensive performances by a professional football team we've seen at the Bernabeu. After the own goal - and Real Madrid's sixth of the night - Ray Hudson stated on the broadcast that Leonesa didn't deserve this scoreline.

But they did. They absolutely did. They refused to mark anyone in the attacking third, and that extends to Mariano's three goals as well. Not to take credit away from the players on the pitch today, who all did tremendously well with the chances presented. Odegaard though, quite frankly, gets much tougher conditions to play with in Castilla where teams close him down furiously and play more organized defensive schemes.

Still, let's enjoy it. All aboard the Odegaard hype-train!
